My Address to Anonymous

I didn't realize how important Thank you notes are to some people. Personally, I think they are very thoughtful but not essential. I guess I just don't loose sleep or think bad of people for not sending them especially when it is family and friends.

I guess some of you are wondering where this is coming from. I received a comment to the post titled "Thank You" that hurts me deeply. To my knowledge there isn't anyone that views this blog that doesn't know me personally. I don't know of anyone who thinks so little of me as a friend. I know that I am not the greatest, but I try.

To the author of this comment: I am sorry if I have been so ungrateful in your eyes. I try my best to verbally say thank you for every gift, word of encouragement, prayer, etc.. that I receive. Also, I am sorry that you don't think I am approachable. Or is it that you don't have the courage to let me know who you are?

In regards to the thank you notes that were never mailed: I did in fact take the time to write them, but didn't have addresses to send them. I have personally thanked each of these people as well as apologized for not sending the note. Everyone that views this blog should have gotten a thank you note from me. If you didn't, I apologize I guess it got lost in the mail. I can double check my list if you disclose your identity. I truly appreciate all the time and effort that you as well as everyone else puts into buying gifts or praying for my family.

I am not going to post the comment because I feel like if you couldn't take the time to address me personally than I don't need to continue to feel bad about it. I am embarrassed for you that you didn't feel it was important enough for you to include your name. If at anytime you would like to talk about this, feel free to contact me by phone or email.

To your comment about it taking less time to write thank yous than it took for you to buy a gift:
First of all be careful to use the word us since you are only speaking for yourself. Others may not feel that way. Second, it takes a long time for me to write notes because I put a lot of thought into my notes. I appreciate receiving them but I don't think bad of those that don't send them.

To the comment about having more time since I stay at home: First of all I want to apologize to all of the other stay-at-home moms. I used to think that it must be easy to get things done when you are not working outside the home. Until I became a domestic engineer(as my mom calls it), I didn't realized how much time caring for a child takes. Working moms have my up-utmost respect. It is hard to work, cook dinner, spend time with your children, and have time to be a good wife. I have been on both sides of the coin and each has its faults. Staying at home is not for everyone and I respect that, but that is not reason to belittle the job stay at home moms do. Either you don't stay at home or you are better at it than I am, but I don't have a whole lot of time to sit down and read or write. Most days I don't even get a shower until CTW gets home. I don't even get 5 minutes to use the bathroom by myself. I am not complaining, because I love it so much. It has taken me an hour and half to write this and my sister is watching OKW so I can type it up. To some people's surprise, I don't just sit on my bottom all day and watch TV. I entertain and care for a 1 year old. She needs constant attention and she doesn't really nap all that well.

I assure you that I am working on the prioritizing part of staying home, but I do think I am pretty organized. Let me conclude by saying I do appreciate everything people have done for us. I will say a prayer that God will soften your heart and that you will realize that I am really sorry for hurting your feelings.

Thanks!!

First of all, I know that I am a total slacker. OK doesn't let me do a whole lot on the computer during the day, so I don't get to post as much as I would like. I have added a few and hope to add a few more in the next couple of days. We have been real busy here at the Wells house.

I wanted to take a few minutes to say thanks to everyone who has wished OK a happy birthday either through being a part of her big day or just praying for her during this crazy first year. I am really bad at sending thank you notes, so this is my thank you note. I know it is a little tacky to do it this way, but I still have shower thank yous that never got sent because I didn't have addresses.

Thanks to everyone who took time out of their life to join us for her party and thanks for all the amazing gifts. Also, thanks for all of the thoughts and prayers you have given us. We love each of you so much.

I can't believe it has been a year since our little girl joined our family.

Thanks!!!!!!

Oh, What a Year!!!

At this time last year we were finally resting from a day that changed every aspect of our lives. At 9:46 am, The Lord blessed us with a wonderful miracle. After a troubled pregnancy and three long weeks in the hospital, the doctors decided to deliver our baby 5 weeks early. The doctors were very optimistic about that the baby would be fine, but with a preemie there are always worries. They thought that the baby would have to spend at least a little time in the NI CU, but God had different plans. We were delighted to discover that we had a 4lb 4oz baby girl. We gave her our very tiny girl a big name. Praise The Lord that she was healthy and able to come home with us three days later.

The first weeks were crazy. Her weight was monitored very closely. We were in the doctors office every three to four days for weight checks. If she didn't gain weight, she would have to go back to the hospital. Gratefully, she continued to gain weight and the doctors were overjoyed.

It is hard to believe that our tiny little miracle is already one and excelling above the level of most. They thought she would have delayed development, but the doctors say she is exactly where she is supposed to be. We are not sure what her current weight is, but she is definitely bigger than the Friday afternoon in March when we brought her home.

This year has been wonderful and trying at times. We have made it through sickness and sleepless nights. We have watched her learn how to crawl and feed herself. We have seen the wonder in her eyes as she discovers new things. She is very expressive, so it is easy to know when she is happy and when she is sad. We have many special memories to carry with us as we close the book on her first year of life.

She is our angel and our miracle. Everyone tells you that you will never know what it feels like to love until you have a child and they are absolutely right. She is the best thing that has ever happened to us. I love to watch her sleep and realize that God made her as a part of me and a part of CTW. We can't wait to see what the years ahead have to offer. I can't believe how fast this year has gone. Time definitely needs to slow down.

Thank you God, for allowing CTW and I to care for your precious child. Give us the wisdom and confidence to raise her in your way. Give us direction to encourage her and discipline her when needed. Thank you for allowing her to be healthy. Thank you for allowing me to be at home with her. Bless us in the days, weeks, and months to come.

Also, we would like to thank our family and friends for the encouragement and prayers that you have given us. Thank you for being involved in our sweet angel's life.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our sweet baby girl!!! We love you so much.

Two Sweet Boys

About two weeks ago, two of our closest friends brought these sweet boys into the world. After a struggle to get pregnant, we were delighted to hear that AP and GP were getting their miracle. A few weeks later we were surprised that to hear that they were blessed with two sweet miracles, Twin boys!! CTW and I were elated. AP and GP have really been great friends to us and they love our little miracle. On Feb 7th, I got the call that AP would deliver these sweet boys at around 8:30 pm. I arranged a babysitter and went to the hospital to be with the soon-to-be parents. CTW arrived just before we met these beautiful boys. Benjamin James was born at 8:37 pm weighing in at 5 lbs 9 ozs and McLean Alexander was born at 8:39 pm weighing in at 5 lbs 10 ozs. Mom and Dad are doing an amazing job and will be great parents. OKW is very curious about the boys and who knows love could bloom. Congratulations to the new family. We can't wait to see them grow into wonderful men. Thanks for allowing us to be a part of this wonderful time. We love you guys!!!!

Welcome to the World Baby Peyton

On Monday, Feb 4th, the world was blessed with another miracle. My college roommate, CC gave birth to Peyton Heath Crenshaw. He weighed in at 7 lbs 5 ozs and has some of the sweetest little cheeks around. After a scary first day, he was united with his mom, dad, and sweet big sister. CC has always been one of my best friends for almost 10 years now. She is a sweet soul with such a wonderful spirit. Her love for Christ challenges me to be better. Congratulations to this wonderful family. We can't wait to watch this sweet little boy grow-up into a wonderful man. We love you!!!
