Hello everyone. It has been forever since I have posted. Our laptop has been broken so I haven't really gotten around to doing it. So, what have we been up to. We have been enjoying time together as a family when we can. CTW has been working a lot of overtime at work. This past week he has been sick with the flu. Below there are quite a few new posts. I think I have caught up from Christmas, so bear with me. I hope this finds all of you doing well and I again say sorry for being so far behind.
My sister and I had been talking about taking the girls to the circus for a while. We found a coupon and was able to save quite a bit, so we bought the tickets. The Circus came to town on Feb 4th. My mom, CTW, KCW, CPW, OK, and I loaded up and headed downtown. We got there in time to see the elephants up-close and saw some other performances, but nothing will match the look on OK's face when they started up and all of the performers and Elephants came out. The look of amazement on her face was something I will never forget. I think that if her eyes could have gotten any bigger they would have burst. She got a little antsy during the clown shows but overall she sat in either mine or my mom's lap quiet and still. At the very end they shot confetti in the air and she had the biggest smile. We had a blast and I am sure I have said it before but we are definitely blessed to live in a city where we can take OK to special events like this.
On Christmas Day CTW and I got up and got dressed and then we woke OK up to see if Santa came. Of course he did and OK's face was priceless. She was amazed and so excited. We had a hard time getting her to open the presents from Mommy and Daddy. After we enjoyed family time we went to Grandma and Papa's to celebrate the rest of the day. We ate good and had a wonderful time catching up with family.
OK loves her Curious George doll. It mostly stays in the car so she can have a riding mate in the back seat. I picked it up at Kohls when they had it on sale for the Kohls for Kids event. The money goes to Kids' organizations. I had one when I was little so I thought it would be fun for her to have one too.
Since I am so far behind with my posts I am including several events in one post. We had several dinners with friends over the Christmas holidays. We are so blessed to have such wonderful people in our lives. We love each of you and we appreciate that you love our little girl.
My oldest nephew was in his first Christmas Parade in Chesnee so we made a trip up there on a very cold Sunday to support him. I can't believe he is already 14. It makes me so sad to think that he will be graduating in 3 years. He has always been my baby. I was 14 when he was born and he stayed with me most of the time. He was either at my house or I was at his. He will always be my baby no matter how much he grows. Here are a few pictures.
